Hi, I've been provided a spreadsheet with listing a number of servers and their 'Normalized CPU Speed' - the plan is to consolidate and virtualise the servers into VMware.
Does anyone have an understanding of what Normalized Speed means, and how to use to assess whether the server is a good candidate for virtualisation? e.g. below is a sample:
CPU | Cores | Normalised Speed |
2 | 8 | 46.5 |
1 | 4 | 42.49 |
1 | 4 | 39.07 |
At this stage I'm not concerned with memory, network or disk stats.
Thanks
